Diana is an Interior Design professional with a deep passion for all things interior design. She formerly worked as a marketing and public relations executive and is now realizing her interior design aspirations.

My Path Toward Interior Design

Interior design is something I didn’t quite know I loved until late in my marketing and public relations career. At a work dinner one night, the spouse of one of my board of directors told me about the excellent Interior Design Program at San Diego Mesa College. The very next day I inquired and enrolled in evening classes for the program. While working full time, my deep passion for interior design spilled into all assigned class projects, completing all required courses with highest honors over a span of seven years.

Fast forward to today, and here I am doing what I absolutely love.

Story Behind the Name “Cazadora” Interiors

In Roman religion, Diana was the goddess of the hunt, the moon and wild animals, among other things. She was a multifaceted goddess, revered for her intelligence, purity and talents.

“Cazadora” is Spanish for huntress. I like to think of my interior design work as a keen pursuit, applying knowledge, uniqueness, and skill.

I’ll dissect the word “Cazadora” and why I chose it as the name of my business. “Caza” is pronounced the same as “casa” (Spanish for home), which is my interior design realm. And, sentimentally, my late mother’s name was Dora. Having her name as part of my business is a small, but significant, tribute to her. There you have it – now you know how the name Cazadora Interiors came to be.
